Mr Bill Update
We (collectively, the Corvette Forum) really should have a Mr. Bill, Remembrance, Meet and Greet, up here in Reno.
A fun road trip for all, lots of good 'watering holes' (What we in ham radio call 'eatin' places'!) I'm sure places like Peg's Ultimate Ham 'n Eggs (Here in Reno)could accommodate a group of road warriors, or The Wigwam Cafe in Fernley. Both places have great food. Only draw back there would be parking, if a goodly number of Corvettes show up. Peg's has a gigantic parking lot, so no problems there.
Another idea would be one of the major hotel/casinos, like The Peppermill, or Atlantis luncheon buffets. These are GREAT buffets' and the variety of food is mind-boggling. They also have geezer pricing, which makes it nice. (1 geezer card and everyone gets that price, regadrless of age!)
Anywho...
Anyone interested in a Mr. Bill Remembrance Corvette meet and greet, sometime this spring?

I'd be interested in meeting up with Kris K aka PICNIC_GEORGE, and some Corvette forum members as well. August is only five months away. We'd need to get something in the works soon, I'd guess, especially those from out of town needing hotel rooms, etc.
I like the H.A.N.'s timing idea too. Some Corvette people are up here for that event anyway and could attend without the additional travel and room expenses of a different time.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Plus, the fact that most of our Corvettes are not HAN vehicles, unless it is a C1, 2, or early 3. Not that, that, makes a difference.
Be great if there cold be a whole line of Corvettes parked somewhere..I do think it would detract from any of the old cars around!
It would be fun, as I sold my HAN car and am not entered this year.

George William Karadimos lost his fight to cancer at the young age of 62, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Northern Nevada Medical Center. Bill was born July 22, 1952 to Katie Karadimos and Bob White in San Francisco, California and had lived in the Reno/Sparks area for over 40 years.
Bill served in the Army from 1969 through 1972. He was stationed in Germany where his primary job was to arm Nike Hercules and Honest John missiles. He had a passion for fast cars that started at a young age and never ended. Owning everything from a 1957 Chevy, Nomad Wagon, Nova, Camaros, Mustangs and in recent years his love of the Corvette came out strong with his 2002 Corvette becoming a great source of pride. Bill was active in the Corvette forums, and was at a time member of Reno corvettes and an honorary member of the Sin City vettes car club. He enjoyed setting up get togethers and cruises with local and visiting people. He was also member and contributor to the Jeff Gordon Fan Club, helping put on events and meet & greets. Bill also had a passion for photography, owning "Karadimos Photograhy" which is known for his Nascar photos, photos of Jeff Gordon and other Nascar celebrities, wedding photos, and his wonderful nature photos.
Bill is survived by his two children - Kris Karadimos and Katie Karadimos, ex-wife and lifelong friend Nicky Simpson, and three siblings - Shelley Prevost, Perry White and Lonny White.
A service was held in honor of this great man on March 7, 2015.
Bill Karadimos - you left our hearts and this world an emptier place! We love you and will miss you far more than you can possibly imagine!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - ' Wow! What a ride!'
It gives we forum members a look at a side of Bill that many of us here on the forum didn't know.
I have to say one thing, and I am sure others can back me up on this, because they are probably experiencing the same thing.
I belong to half a dozen different forums dealing with vehicles, and I have never seen such attention, and admiration to one forum member, as I have seen on this site, concerning Bill, and that says volumes about your dad.
I always enjoyed reading his post, and looking at the great pictures he posted.
He was talent plus when it came to photography.
He will be missed here, and for those of us who have not been on this forum too long, you should know, he had an impact on us as well as the long time forum members.
Rest assured, he may be gone from us, but never forgotten.
He left his mark on this forum, as I am sure he did in many other facets of his life, and my educated guess would be, he will still b be around occasionally in the lives of we Corvette owners, though some may be oblivious to his presence.
Bob.
