Nothing...warm the letters up with a hair dryer and gently peel them out..then you can clean up whats left with WD-40, goo be gone, baby oil...just don't use anything that will hurt your paint...acetone, paint thinner etc.
Then you'll be back to stock.

Another option is to use thin monofilament fishing line, a piece 8-10" long with both ends tied to a key ring or other shape you can hold on to easily. Heat the letters up (carefully with a hair dryer or better, leave in direct bright sun if possible) and use a thin piece of wood or a soft plastic tool (don't use anything that can scratch the paint!) to raise a letter edge, then work in the line and use a 'sawing' motion to cut through the adhesive tape. then clean the residue up as mentioned above, wash and polish, and admire.
