Default Shout-out to VetteNuts

I went ahead and put the important stuff in bold font, the rest is just rambling and blathering. (not really, it might be helpful to someone, somewhere.)

About a week after I installed my LED tail lights I started to get some hyperflash on the passenger side. It annoyed me, but not to the point where I felt the need to do something about it immediately. I had checked using the emergency flashers to make sure the signals were actually lighting up--which I now know is incorrect because all four corners worked flawlessly during emergency flashing, but the passenger rears were not lighting up at all when using the signal. (sorry everyone around me, I swear I was using my turn signal, it just wasn't working)

Anyways, after some serious diagnostic work I came to the conclusion that my headlight switch was malfunctioning. I had voltage at the rear sockets until one or the other bulbs were installed (meaning if I checked one socket with both tails unhooked I saw 12 volts pulsing with the signal, but once one light was hooked up that voltage dropped to less than one volt.

I started dissecting my headlight switch and somehow managed to break the rod that runs down the center of it. (seriously, that's the one metal piece in the entire switch, and its held by plastic, how did I break that?) Managed to get my headlights up by manipulating the inside of the switch, but the hazards were going crazy. Fortunately it was a near blizzard at the time (ok, so not really a blizzard, but snowing hard for NC), so I wasn't the only car limping home with my hazards on.

Emailed Marc at vettenuts a couple times about some questions I had, and he responded very promptly for me. Got all the info I needed and ordered the switch, as well as a few other goodies. I got an email from (I think) Shawn at vettenuts telling me that it would be about a week before my insulation kit was cut, which was not good because the vette is my only vehicle. As soon as I told him that he offered to go ahead and send everything that was already available, and get the insulation kit out to me next week, perfect!

Long story short, quick responses and excellent customer service got my vette back on the road where it belongs, so a major thanks to vettenuts!

Ditto. I've bought several items from VetteNuts over the last few years; customer support has always been great, whether buying small or big ticket.

It is indeed Shawn! (OP) They are just wonderful to work with. I've visited their shop on occasion to pick up a part or two and have always had a warm reception. They go way beyond "customer service". Marc and Shawn both are very knowledgable about Corvettes and have a good selection of used parts for sale. If they don't have it they can get it. They are my first choice whether new or used! No BS there...

Default vettenuts

Bought the speaker enclosures a couple more the ago. Didn't buy the speakers. Installed my own set of speakers. Added a spacer to both speakers. Wow. They sure do kick. No BS. I usually go with twin 12" speakers. But I'd have to say. These enclosures are badazz. Not trying to steal the thread. But the people at vnutz provide . Thanks again vettenuts. Will post pics. Will post audio. But it won't convince anyone unless they buy the product. I am a believer now.

Feel free to post as much as you would like! I wanted to ensure that others in need of vette parts could order through vettenuts with confidence, so the more positive feedback the better!

Another thumbs up to marc vettenuts! Marc and his team treat small orders just as GOOD as larger, more profitable orders!
They are magic -- they can come up with everything we need to keep our corvettes complete and functioning as designed! Just ask!

Just wanted to do one more quick follow up. Went ahead and ordered the insulation kit for the rear of my z06 from vettenuts. My car is LOUD but I didn't do it to get rid of drone, I did it because the rear of the car vibrates and causes some panel rattles that annoyed the hell out of me. Insulation is good light stuff that is thin enought that with the carpet back in you can't tell it's even there. Cut down on the road noise a bit, but more importantly there's absolutely no rattles whatsoever!
If you're like me and enjoy loud, but hate the interior rattles: do it now! Don't wait!
