P1518 reduced engine power help
So I've seen all the other threads but those issues seem to not be like mine.
I have an 2001 C5 Z06 with 56k miles.
So I was driving at 20 mph down the street, then out of no where, my car dies and says DIC says 'Reduced Engine Power'. Took like 3 times to turn back on then I drove down the stree to my house. Parked it then came outside like an hour later, turned on then 15 seconds later, it died. Didn't move it for like 2 days then I decided to take it to school. Worked perfect. Leaving school, as soon as I opened the key, it gave me that message without even starting the car. Car turned over serval times. Decided to disconnect the battery and connected it, then it turned on. Drove home then happened again, but it didn't die, I managed to reset the code while it happened then when it was erased, it worked fine again. Had to do that like 3 times to get home. Mechanic came to check it out and said it says it's the throttle actuator control ( TAC) module and throttle body. I've seen so many other options. It's odd how it works fine sometimes, past two days I've drivin it around my neighborhood. Could it be something smaller? Please help because I don't have a lot of money since I'm still in school. PLEASE HELP.
