Looking at replacing my stock z51 front and rears and want to get red calipers that are powder coated with cross and drilled. Can anyone point me to what size I need as I have have read some going with c6? I have stock wheels front back. Also any recommendations appreciated on brands, thanks.
There is no difference between stock C5 and C5 Z06 calipers except for the color. The OEM Z06 caliper is powdercoated red and the stock caliper has a grey finish. With some careful searching, you can find OEM Z06 calipers for almost the same price as the base calipers. You will most likely have to provide a core return if you buy calipers. Otherwise use a caliper painting kit from DupliColor and DIY. Is there a local powdercoating company near you? You can always ask what they would charge to do that. But you should get caliper rebuild kits to install afterwards.
Rotors are the same in terms of diameters. The big difference with the Z06 rotor is that the vanes are angled to improve air flow thru the rotor. There are a number of decent drilled/slotted rotors; look at PowerStop, Raybestos, NAPA, Centric StopTech.
IMHO, the drilled/slotted rotors are OK for street use. High performance driving like track days/HPDE's use a stock-style rotor or a slotted rotor. Stay away from the store-bought drilled rotors. They will crack.
Thanks for the help. I wanted to do C6 zo6 on the rears as they would be a little beefier and fill the tires more. I am going to look local for a powder shop to do mine. I am not tracking the car since its a vert so I have read break motive is a decent product so I will just try them eventually. I am going for more of a look then high function! Thanks for all your help and messages!

Not as cheap as some, but check out Baer rotors - I had a set of Eradispeed 1 piece front and rear on a 2000 coupe I had. They looked great and performed well in everyday use.
