Default Upgrading brake system advice

I am looking at upgrading my calipers, rotors, brake from my stock 01 vert z51. I would like to use c5 zo6 calipers (mainly because the red matches car), Baer eradispeed rotors, and ceramic pads. I don't track car. I also want to use larger rotors on the rears to fill tire. I am running stock 17/18. Is this possible? Does anyone have any other suggestion or kits that would be better? Since this is more of a look mode than a high performance mode I'm trying to do it under the kits that are over $1500. Thanks for any help!

the c5 use's the same exact brake calipers as the c5 base does..only difference is they are red and the z06 came with a much more aggressive pad then what the c5 came with..i would look into the c6 Z51 option but i am not sure if they will clear a c5 17 inch wheel in the front though..

I'm running the Eradispeed 2 rotors with stock calipers. The front rotors are stock size (12.8") and the rears are 14". Even though I was running 18" wheels on all corners, I went with the stock size front rotors so I could put my stock wheels (17") on if needed. I am also using the GM ceramic pads, for low dusting purposes.

You can easly save $500 by just cleaning and painting your calipers with red caliper paint. The C5 ZO6 are just powder coated red from the factory. If you want the C6 ZO6 brakes you will have to go with at least 18's in the front to clear the larger rotors and brakes. But the C6 option is going to run at least $2k-$3k for the set up not including new wheels and tires to clear them.

My stockers after painting, sorry best pic i had available

Honestly I would go with the Z06 calipers (You like the RED) and the ceramic pads you chose and purchase the GM C6 Z51 Rotors and Brackets and install those!

Contact Gene Culley for the best deal!

Thanks,Matt

You will definitely need 18 inch wheels up front for the C6-Z calipers, the rear safe not and issue, if you keep an eye on the for sale forums you can sometimes snag a set for a decent price used, there are a few vendors that offer a complete kit down to the brake fluid for around $2500.
They really look great but they can cost a few bills good luck
