Personalizing my new ride....
I decided to give my shift **** a glamor lift.
Took a piece of aluminum and polished and notched it to fit in the place of the oem shift pattern:
-Kinda make it look like an auto.
-I'm not a "shiny" guy, so although I don't like the factory **** in its entirety, I think it's more understated than this TBH.

First the test pattern then cut
StuzVette shifter. The collar does not require set screws. It was CNC cut and threads up against the handle for a super tight hold in the position desired.
I once read that every hot rod needs something personal , and I tend to agree, even if it is a factory built, massed produced, car.
I have to admire the fitment of the T handle, that it screws on in the correct position.
I think it an improvement over the first picture, which looked like a reverse lock out button, no big deal, hardly worth the effort save for a custom touch.
My only reservation is the spelling. As an old guy, the 'Z' in the spelling doesn't work for me. Everybody already assumes it is your car, since few corvettes use paid drivers, but I can understand the call if you already have the set up and an opportunity to personalize the piece. I might have engraved differently, but engraving some kind of wit might get tired fast. Still I might have engraved "Eject" or some other childish junk, or maybe "eat fords" if I were to show the car, just to get people talking. A job well done, thanks for sharing your work, hope it doesn't get hot.

The "StuzVette" name has been around for a long time and most of those years the T-shifter was in my 2001 Corvette coupe. However, I've had many experiences up and down Florida when kids would holler out at me "is that StuzVette?" They ignored me.
When I finally sold "StuzVette" I offered to remove and replace the custom "StuzVette" logos embroidery and CNC but the new owner insisted that He was buying "StuzVette". It still is StuzVette and He will not sell it back to me! hahahaha It is still not my Vette.
btw...you'd hate the tag on my 2014 Lexus IS250..."STUZ"

....I know you remember "StuzVette" has been around since 2001 and the T-shifter was created by my buddy (CNC guy) and myself shortly after that. It worked well in that show car...
...so I figure "StuzVette" will work as well in my 02 convertible
I think the insert in the first pic looks pretty good. But so does the T-handle you had on your previous car.

The current **** does look good, but I'm still kind of stuck on the T-shifter and it does lower the shift height...
...and that would be good thing...
