Ive had 3 C5 verts and don't ever remember seeing this...
I recently bought this car...
This is a Al Knoch top...
Passenger side...when somebody gets in I have to put the window down a little then back up...
Is there anything I can do about this??? I doubt it...
I am sure that eventually this is going to cause premature wear on the top in that spot and it probably isn't doing the window much good either...

Unless the top is mis-cut, it would seem that it might be possible to adjust the window glass, using the provided adjustments. You might check to see if it is possible to hit the gaskets and miss the top. If so, adjust away. If you are like me, you will need some replacement clips for the panel.
I fear pain in the neck adjustment jobs like this, it takes a lot of time and trial fitments unless you are experienced. Probably why the previous owner cut it loose, I would't want to mess with it either.
Ya...the window adjustment idea seems logical...I'm sure it "likes" where it is right now tho...
I will take a closer look at that...
I'm with you tho...I dread those kind of jobs...
Not normal and judging by the wear marks it looks like it started with a small overlap and it has grown to the 1" +/- it is now. To me, the window doesn't out of adjustment but that corner looks like its pulling in to far. I'm basing that on the fact I own one and the amount of weatherstrip your showing vs the edge of the top seems off to me.

I see what your saying, but I think the door is open making it look that way.
Mine was the same way, I took it to the dealer because I didn't want to do it, window adjustment should take care of it. On a side note, the service writer who has been there 20+ years said they were almost all like that right off the truck.
Wow...ok
So the window adjustment is fine and it is the top that needs adjustment...great! LOTS easier to do that then remove a door panel and mess with the glass adjustment!
I will address this issue when I get a chance and report back on how it went...I can't be the only one on the forum affected by this...
I just got the Vette home from storage last week so I plan on trying to fix in the next couple of weeks. Please let me know how you make out and i'll do the same

Great! Thanx for this...I'm at work now so I will check it out later on
Well this is weird...In the month or so that I have owned this car I have never seen this window do this however when I got home last night and put the top up and closed my windows and doors I noticed that the glass was INSIDE of the top...
So I opened and closed the door several times and it continuously went to the inside...hhhmmmm???? Strange...
I was too enthusiastic, with my only sound advice being to check the glass fitment against the gasket. I saw no wear marks on the top, so figured the top was newly installed to sell the car, and that a poor window adjustment marred the old top.
I have got to be more careful, I don't want to give bad advice from poor understanding, I could go into politics for that.

The glass is just popping under the top. It looks like it still slides across it, which will still cause wear and will start to bind again. You still need to adjust that top up slightly for the top of the window to clear. Or you can lower the window a little each time you want to close the door.
