Curious, what do you think this car would be worth in a private sale? I know that is a subjective question, but wondering what you think the "market" should bear. thanks in advance.

I bought a 2001 convertible a year and a half ago with 58K miles on it. He was asking $16.9K and I got it for $16,500. It was late fall, so prices could be up now that it's spring.
$17K could be about right.

With the weather starting to warm up, I'd guess your convertible could sell for 17-18k.

That year with those miles on ebay have been selling 12000.00 to 15000.00. If i was looking for a corvette i would start there. Bought my 2002 convertible 4.5 years ago with 11800 miles on it from ebay from a great seller. For wholesale. NO RESERVE!

I'd say $17K would be about right. $12K is definitely too low.

I paid $15.2 in Sept 2013 with 68k 2001 triple black vert. The engine has run like a top. Spent quite a bit to make sure it was a good DD:
Plugs and wires, all fluids, serpentine belt, vacuum leak, tires, rocking seat fix, new leather covers and new foam, new head unit (nav, bluetooth, Sirius, etc.), new shocks, LMC5, brass headlight gears, driver's window modulator. All worth it - now a great car that will hit 100K next month.

I have also been looking for a car similar to this with a 6 speed. Most may say it is worth 17k, however the sellers don't seem to agree. The average asking prices I'm finding on the forum, auto trader and craigslist are $19,900 - $22,000.

Sellers start out high. What are the cars selling for?

just as a swag, I'd say 17 is in the ballpark. What's NADA say about it in your area? They're usually pretty close to reality
