Thoughts on my first corvette
So last summer I bought a 97 vette, thinking I'd get stationed somewhere I could take it(had a 4/5 chance of that happening) low and behold I got the 1/5 chance. I'm currently trying to sell the car while I'm overseas, but I'm debating whether I should save to put a sexy ls3 in it, or build the ls1, or just continue trying to sell it to get a c6 when I get back. The car as a whole is in really nice shape, and it just got new suspension because of a drunk guy hitting it while it was parked. It has ~70k miles. I really enjoy driving it, but it seems like the c6 is just a much better platform, especially the 08+. However, it is a car that I do currently own, so I won't have to do any shopping which is always nice.
This car is my first ever experience into ls powered engines and I love it. Now I got the need for more power.

I almost put myself in the same boat as yourself, but I waited until I found out where I would end up, sure enough I ended up being over seas for 3 years. Since I didnt buy anything I was able to pocket more money and then I bought some nicer and what I really wanted when I came back to the states, if I was you Id try and get rid of the car, and keep your options open, depending on how long you will be overseas.
