The door panel has to be removed, then you can access the screws on the inside of the sweeps.
Thanks for the reply! I have to replace one window that is all scratched up so the panel has to come off anyway. So it sounds like a simple enough task to do!!!
I just replaced the driver side on mine . After you remove the screws you need to slide it towards the back , it is on pins ( don't remember how many ) .It is a tight fit and it might take a force to move . When I put the new one on it would not slide forward enough to get to top locating screw , ended up using a file to open up the slots a little to get into place .

Thanks for the added info. I'll keep that in mind when I change it out.

Just replaced mine on both sides along with new passenger door glass. The drivers side didn't want to slide all the way forward on install. Be careful not to force it -- the tabs will break off.
I know this is a year old thread, but I have a question on the installation of the window sweeps. I had to replace my drivers side mirror because it somehow got broken in my garage.. My wife thinks she did it so I let her believe it. Anyway I had to take the sweeps off and there was some sticky stuff like weatherstrip sealant on the paint. When I install them back on do I have to put the sealant back on or just install them without the sealant. My mirror I'm installing has to be repainted so I am getting both mirrors painted because of rock chips and the like and wife said go ahead..I think she feels guilty. I did try to tell her she didn't do it but she thinks she did hit it with something. So any help on whether I need the sealant or not would be helpful..Thanks..
Mine didn't have any kind of removable sealant. I would clean off what's there then just install the sweep.
That's kinda what I was thinking to Mickey. I all ready cleaned it off and just waiting on the mirrors to come back. Thanks for the quick response back...
I also know this is an old post but I have a tip that I used when I installed both my sweeps the other day. It may help someone looking at old posts for solutions. Sliding the new sweeps into place is a chore! If you apply a little carwash or mild dishwashing soap to the top of the door and also the plastic studs on the back of the sweeps, they will slide into place much easier. Also there was no sealant on the new sweeps or the ones I pulled off.
