I am experiencing the "sometimes i get 1 click" when i turn the key to start the car. it will eventually start and then runs great. I have checked the battery terminals and they are tight. Wondering if i am encountering the Ignition corrision problem or a starter issue. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. thanks

The 'click' generally implies the solenoid/starter issue. Grounds could be another consideration, but it's pull the starter and have it checked out, 'after', doing load tests on your existing battery. Hope it's something simple, good luck !!
Power to crank the starter does NOT go via the ignition switch. If you get a "click" at the starter it means the ignition switch and BCM are doing their thing in the control circuit.
I think it is most likely a problem with:
Bad connections at starter or at the battery
Bad starter
Could be the contacts in the Theft Deterrent Relay but I don't think so.
PS: If you are having this issue after the engine is hot and you try to restart. It is the classic bad starter scenario. The heat soaks into the starter and increases the internal resistances.

I'm having the same issue. Keep us posted what you find out. I'm leaning towards a bad starter or connection
You both can try the old standby, in a pinch, tap the starter while someone is trying to crank it...hit the key, tap the starter/solenoid with a small mallet... if it starts, it's the starter.
You might be able to wiggle the connections at the starter also to see if it might turn over doing that and then you would have a better idea if it is indeed loose connections.
