My guess is around 155. I think C6 Z's were only seeing 164ish and ZR1's around 178-182.

I've seen few C6Z06 on that range.

Most of the stock C6 Z06's were a few mph over my best,

167.5 one mile
176.4 mile and a half

Wow, that's much faster than I assumed for a stock car

anyone seen a c7 or c7z run the mile yet and if so what speed?

For the OP, let us know what you did to prep car , tires on car, stock height or lowered, safety additions etc., also any problems you had when running the event, ie high speed stability etc.

Suggest you brace the center air damn, it starts folding at 150-160mph.......

My 04 is stock with the exception of a Blackwing air filter.
Ride height is set with the front adjusters bottomed out, rear is set for 3/4 rake,
Tires stock size NT-05s and DRM Bilsteins.
Without any mods the car is "teched" to run 175 max.
I found the car felt well planted as we passed 150.
The crosswind caused the car to drift slightly with minimal correction required.
Otherwise I could take my time watching speed and RPMs,

The promoters and staff at MKM are great and kept the show moving.
I completed registration on Friday and was first in line to get the car and gear through Tech.
Arrived at the track early for the Rookie drivers meetings and drive thru.
My suggestion is for a first timer show up early!
Have all your gear ready and correct.
So read the rule book and don't try to reinterpert the rules.

Pics to follow

Just so there is no speculation as to what our top speed is,

176 MPH in 5th gear is hitting the stock rev limiter.

Congrats that's awesome!

I wonder if this is a new record for a C5Z?

The car felt solid and planted the entire run. It took a few moments in between 4th and 5th to loosen up the grip on the steering wheel. Once I did that the car was less "nervous" and ran straighter. At 260 fps you cover some real estate quickly. So relaxing the grip really helped to settle the cars directional stability.

04SilverZ06 - wouldn't that be cool?

What is the track elevation? What wind speed and direction?
I ran Texas Mile for 9 runs over two days and every run was within 1mph of 163mph.
