Use the zip tie method on the front and check my post from a few months ago for the front bolt removal and install. It makes it a lot easier and you do not need the special tool to take the top nut off.
froggy47 and one other (starts with an e, epidicus or something like that) guy both have a good youtube video. I just did this job using those as a guide and the project was pretty straightforward. I found removing control arm bolts on the front, and tie rod ends on the rear were not necessary.
The previously mentioned zip tie method is the way to go. I did strip one of the front lower shock mount screws and it was $7 from GM, be careful!
