Default LMC5 and DIC message question

Yesterday for the first time since I have owned the car, (1yr), the "Remove Key, Wait 10 Sec" message appeared when I started up. I did as instructed and had no problems or messages upon restart. I do have the LMC5 installed and working since 1 month after car purchase. Is this just a strange aberration or something to be concerned about? Thanks for any advice!

Most likely just a one-off. Mine did it right after I put in the LMC5 (had no problems prior and the column lock was working fine, I just got it as a preventitive measure) a couple of times and then never again.

I would not be concerned unless it happens routinely and annoys you. The BCM timing can be a little off and cause this.

Also, when you put the key in wait a few seconds before you turn it to ON.

Possibly your battery was weak or discharged more than usual and the starter drain caused it to momentarily dip too low.

Mine did it a little to often and Richard at Compliance recommended I do the brown wire mod after several months of monitoring it. Like Dadaroo said sometimes the BCM timing is off and the fix is to do the brown wire mod. The instructions are with the LMC5 mod package if U keep getting the message and decide to do it. Monitor it and get with Richard and he will advise U as to what U need to do. I even went a step further and had my 5mph fuel shut off reprogrammed to 245mph. Good luck

I installed the LMC5 last week and ramdomly would get the wait 10 second message AFTER starting the car. Talked to Richard at Compliance Parts and he said to do the brown wire connection. Did it yesterday and so far no more 'wait' messages.

Mine does that every once in a while. But I don't know if it's ever been replaced or not.
