Default Sun Visors

It seems that a lot of the on-line vendors are out of stock of C5 sunvisors. Anyone know where to buy some that are in stock?

If you will accept used ones, try Marc at VetteNuts.

I couldn't find any aftermarket ones when I was looking last year. The vendor either no longer made them or were on backorder indefinitely. I went to ebay and picked up a new set of OEM for under $200.

I was hoping someone that bought them would would give us a review before I bought a set. If they do look that good they would be a nice cheap alternative.

I tried a set of those leather covers with red stitching was not happy with fit. Cover was saggy around mirror. Returned covers and they gave me a full refund.

A buddy recently bought a Commemorative Edition Convert and the visors were in horrible shape. A local shop was able to provide an acceptably close material color match. New visors in the Neutral color of the Commemorative Edition interior are non existent.... If yours are black it should be easy.
I installed home link in drivers visor and had floppy dog ear on passenger side. Local shop fixed dog ear and restitched both visors.

Smartest idea, same as I did. I ran a trim shop and am appalled at the sloppy interior work I see at shows. I bought a Vette because of it's ability to retain resale value but only if I keep it sharp and slip on visor covers to save a small amount can't be a great idea. I'm sure the savings on having them recovered, which already mentioned, can be tacky. It's up to the owner to decide how well they want their car to look. The C5 is going to be a collector as the last of the flip up lights.

The OEM units are crap. Hard to believe they would put something like that on a Corvette.

I am having Dennis at Double D Mods make some in leather for me. Should be big improvement in look and quality.

I took mine to a local upholstery shop several years ago and had them done in leather. I want to say they charged me $75-$100 and they look awesome.
