Oil, when do you change? Regardless of Brand
#24
I just bought my 02 Z with 100k miles. It has been consuming a fair amount of oil...I put some 10-30W in it (I am in AZ) to get it at a healthy level on the dipstick.
I'm thinking about getting the oil changed but was wondering what oil I should go with. Should I stick to stock Mobile 1 5-30W or 10-30W or should I go with a high mileage synthetic?

#6 For me. I change at 10,000 miles or if monitor tells me to and end of season. Generally it is 10,000 miles and end of season as I drive mostly highway and the monitor would let me go to 13,000 miles. This yields 2 - 3 changes per fair weather season.

#2, once a year, don't drive it enough to change by mileage. Change it in the summer when it goes in for inspection.
Now about tire rotation..........

#2 but if the price of the oil keeps going up I am going to stretch that time period out. If I put more miles on annually it wouldn't matter but I don't so it is really a waste. I actually just changed oil about 2 weeks ago and the year old oil I drained out looks really good so I should have waited a while longer.
