I have a 98 coupe. I really don't like the auto shifter, and found a c6 suede auto shifter assembly. Will the c6 **** and boot fit on the c5 shifter? I have been searching but haven't found anything.
I'm not exactly sure whats needed to swap the C6 **** over to the C5. I installed a B&M T handle in mine using the C5 automatic shift adapter. This adapter allows you to install aftermarket shift ***** for C5 and C6 as long as the thread pattern is the same. Install is quick and easy, all you do is push down on the handle itself to move into gear. Here is a pic of mine.
