OE Wheels PVD chrome
So I am thinking of buying new wheels and tires for my 02 coupe. Love the look of the C7 Stingray wheels. OE Wheels is listing a set for C5's 17 X 9.5 & 18 X 10.5 in " PVD " chrome. The shape and size are perfect, but I am hesitant to purchase due to the fact none of the local wheel shops can show me a PVD sample.
Has anyone seen or had experience with PVD chrome, appearance, durability, and shine potential are all important to me.
So can someone please school me on PVD, thanks guys.

I had my CCW's PVD chromed and while they look nice and I never have to polish them, the clear coat they use on them gets micro scratches in it very easily which aggravates me. These were done by the guy that patented the PVD process. If I could do it over I would have just gotten them ceramic cleared with the original polished finish.

Thanks for the reply's guy's, I did the google deal and understand the process. What I was hoping for was a response from someone who has actually purchased a PVD chrome wheel, or at least had a hands on look at one, as I stated appearance and longevity are important to me, thanks again.

Purhased a set for my 2010 Buick LaCrosse. So far, after 31,000 miles, no problems with the "chrome" finish - just make sure you don't use any type of abrasive cleaner on them - I just use liquid soap and water. Bought mine from US Wheel Exchange in the Detroit area. I really liked the Lifetime Warranty on the PVD Chrome finish. IMO: a worthwile alternative to the chrome plated wheels.
