It's hard to believe the C5 design began over 20 years ago and the first examples are now 18 model years old. The C5 design just doesn't look dated. If you told someone who doesn't know Corvettes, that your blue Vette is only two years old, I'm sure they'd believe it.
I had a C5 and a C7 in my rear view on Sunday while I was in my F150 (go figure) and I can't believe how much more I like the C5 over the C7. The C5 just looks so much lower/wider and serious from all angles.

I'm still blown away (please, correct me, if I'm wrong) that these racers drove cummalativly 24 hrs. That seems like a great challenge. Just being a spectator would have been a challenge. The commemorative vette really shows the pride of such an enduring event. Thanks for the mod list, it really helps in giving me a direction to go with my mods.
