Reading the CarFax. looks like it's been in the selling dealer's inventory its whole life. PA issued a title, but it looks like the one "owner" was the dealer himself, listed as a "corporate fleet vehicle".
(I'm wondering how it ran up almost 1K miles with the shipping protectors still on the seats: that must have been really annoying.)

Its still a damn near 15 year old vehicle with 15 year old seals and gaskets and other mechanical components that may rot, snap and fail.
Its not a Ferrari Enzo, its a common massed produced Corvette
No thanks!

Wow, what a waste of money. That's probably close to $20k out the window (not factoring in inflation) from the sticker price back in 2001. I guess if you have money to blow it may not be a big deal, but for those that have to work their *** off to buy a new vette... I can't fathom buying it and and never driving it? Wow.

I ran into a few of these cars when I was shopping for a C5 Z a year and a half ago. $33k for an '01 is definitely optimistic, even with less than 1000 miles. I paid $29k for my then bone stock '04 with 6800 miles.
Price is little on the high side, but let's face it - there are very few comps so this one is pretty much on the leading edge of the market value.
2001 didn't have all the bugs worked out and with just 385hp/385tq, I sort of wrote that MY off back when my Dad was in the market the first time around, when he ended up buying his 2003 Z06 new, back then.
As a former military helicopter tech, an object in motion stays in motion and any car or piece of machinery sitting that long, is still going to need some TLC.
price is actually in line with comps.... kind of. an 02z with 100 miles sold for 36k a year or two ago and a 2001 coupe with 168 miles sold for 23 or 24k making 30k about right, 28-29 would be good deal territory
BUT
someone has to be able to deal with what many think is the worst color combo you could have a on c5z
the color alone may drive it under comps as it does when this combo appears on higher mileage cars
