[Z06] Oil pressure; what's normal?

Oil pressure; what's normal?
I was driving my 2002 Z06 over the weekend and I happened to look over at the oil pressure gauge. I noticed that it was all the way over to 80psi; I don't suppose that is normal.

No is isn't. Time to replace the oil sending unit behind the intake. Many many post on this and several ways to change it. Orileys has the best replacement according to the post I have seen, it is brass. Either pull intake and change or cut a hole in windshield cowl and replace or some on line you tube shows a guy doing it without pulling intake or cutting hole. You can barely see it and either way it is a PITA. Luckily I haven't had mine go out yet on my 2001 but I am on borrowed time. Some have bought the fitting and relocated it so it is easier next time.
