Default Exhaust help. What is this!?

What exhaust is this!? I know for sure it has manifolds on it. Not sure on what everything else is. Tips say silverline on them... Not sure if this exhaust is good or what... Car does sound good but would I be better off getting headers and x pipe. My next question is how loud/drone is it without catted x pipe...

Looks like they cut and welded the stock flange on to bolt to the factory manifold flange?

Everything pictured, except the tips, is stock including the thicker part after the maniflods. Darned if I can't recall who makes those tips, it's buried in my head somewhere.

Yes, Ansa, thank you! Had Ansa on my previous 325I, should have remembered. The tips are TK7814. No pics of your mufflers?

Yep, showing us a picture of the mufflers would help. From what I can see it almost looks like there is no bend right after (well, before) the tips; wonder if you have straight pipes. How loud is loud?
Stock titanium mufflers, standard set looks pretty much identical:

And yes, everything from the front to the H-pipe is stock. We can't see anything after that.

Eh, it shouldn't be awful... manifolds and cats mellow out a muff delete enough to be a bearable

I muff deleted my 6.2 Silverado, leaving the factory resonator in place, and that thing still sounds sweet. Before we welded everything back up, we ran it without anything after the last cat and it still didn't sound obnoxious.

Now my Z06 had a muffler delete AND Kooks longtubes/X when I got it

That was insane

What catback should I go with? I'm afraid the car will be to loud if I use the tail section that's on the car now with an off-road x pipe. Plan is to go header cam intake manifold and eventually heads. Keep in mind I drive a lot so I don't want it to be real raspy. I had a 05 sti that was full exhaust no cats to the can and that wasn't crazy loud but drew a lot of cop attention completely different profiling going on there

You're going to get 100 opinions. Of course everyone like what "they" have, myself included!

Best bet it to find a Corvette Club, cruise night near you and listen for yourself. Our ears are all different as is what we want!

Add some info to your profile, location, maybe there's somebody near you.

Good Luck!!

Headers into an X into factory Z06 titanium mufflers sound PERFECT

I had stock on my old 99 C5. Went headers, high flow cats, straight pipe to back. Sort of cool but raspy when you started to get on it and ear bleed when nailed. Ended up adding stainless steel bullet mufflers and it worked out. Headers, X pipe, and straight pipe is not livable for long on the street in my opinion.

PS For the edification of those complete psycho's out there I also ran it one day with just the headers to see what is was like.

I have seen these tips sold for C-4s but never for a C-5 ,looks like someone just went to the muffler shop with parts and had it all welded together..

I'm sure that's what it is. Not a fan of those tips, especially on a clean car like a C5.
OP, try and listen before you buy. I love the sound of my Z with Texas Speed headers, Magnaflow x-pipe and cats, into To mufflers.
