Define "better". The only things "better" about a centrifugal supercharger versus a turbocharger system would be overall cost, ease of installation, and less piping. For peak horsepower, for more power and torque at lower rpms, for achieving max boost at a lower rpm, for better fuel economy when out of boost, for easily adjusted boost pressure levels, and for less parasitic horsepower loss due to a lack of a belt, the turbocharger system is king.
