Didn't feel like waiting on one so I made one. It's not the prettiest, but it got the job done! Initially I threaded the upper attachment with a threader but it stripped, so I welded a nut in place and it worked out much better. Had to make a few more adjustments after it was made, but now Mark I is complete and an entire set of valve seals were changed with it

That's a long bolt. Good job on making it. Would like to see it mounted.

Of course I can polish it and make it look pretty! Saved the wait time and about $95. What to do with $95, the choices are endless. Annnnnnd it's gone

It's not the nicest looking spring compressor I've seen, but I bet not one of those springs knew any difference at all what it looked like...
Nicely done!

Oh ya... thanks for taking the time to document your work and for posting it so others can reap the benefits from your DIY.

Nice job. I have made many such tools over my 50 years working on my cars.

However, not sure if you could make it in the brazing and welding shop at my nuclear plant. However, a strong metallurgical bond is more important than pretty.

Please don't take offense, just poking fun.

Mr. Sam

Being the baller you are, we can assume you want only the deluxe CF chrome edition, correct?
