I'm just wondering that if at some time cars that came with BSMs will be worth more with them still on the car? Kinda like the folks that took the split out of there 63 C2s regret doing that...

By the way the your car looks great.

I didn't really plan on it, I did that on my old Black C5Z because it blended in with my quarter panel. BSM stands for Body Side Molding which is the strip in the center of the door..

Yea I doubt it since it was a order option, GM claims that it has minor aerodynamic affects to the car which i find funny They don't bother me that much but I like the cleaner look without them and it takes away from the dated side molding on a sports car...

Thanks bud

I think the C5 looks odd without the BSM's, but I love the tint/tailights/wheels!

You tint it or did you have someone do it for you? Wanna tint my Z this summer. I used Shaded Days in Lake Bluff for my coupe and they did great work. Kinda wanna try it myself.

Had a friend of mine do it for me... I don't know if you ever seen that 8 second AMS White C6 thats from the Chicagoland area. He has since sold the car but that is the guy. He did all the tints and Graphics on the AMS Alpha Omega Record car. He does great work and is a awesome PDR guy... I can shoot you his info if you want. I know he has been pretty busy lately though with some Dealership contracts he has but I can talk to him for you and see what he says...

Just got around to reading this thread...

The BSMs are not like the split in a C3... they can be put back on if you like. They are just attached with double sided foam tape.
I took mine off but still have them. No damage to them or the car.
So, no regrets...

Yeah if you see what he would charge me for the two sides and rear window. Prob 15% or so. And where is he located? I'm in northern Illinois. Close to the border of Wisconsin.
