Default Weekend project

Guys, thought I share what I did yesterday for the vette's pipes cover plate w some spare aluminum and a Jake skull I bought from the guys at JNM Motorsports. I started by cutting a piece of diamond plated aluminum (5"x6") from a old truck tool box, rounded the corners and curve the bottom lip to follow the contoured of the vettes rear where the plate will rest. After I got it the shape I wanted I cleaned the aluminum w alcohol and applied two coats of primer, then four coats of automobile black paint and after that three coats of automobile clear coat. The final touch was the Jake skull from JNM, which I was really happy with, it came right on time after I put the order and also is a nice piece of aluminum w a great chrome finish. I highly recommend it. Thanks John from JNM Motorsports. Hope it looks as good as I think.

Different and nice touch. I had to take a double look. Thought eye lashes were added.
