Default 98 Vette headlights

It's been raining a lot here is St Louis. I drove in the rain Fri and Sat. All of a sudden my headlights won't come on or pop up. After it set in the garage overnight I moved it this morning and for the hell of it I tried the headlights. They popped up and came on every time I turned the switch. Is there something under the hood that could get wet and short out the headlights. I have had problems every once in awhile getting them to come on before, but not like this. But they always came on after playing with the switch. Any thoughts would help.

Good question. I've driven all three of my C5s in the rain and never had the headlights fail as a result.

You probably gonna have to get under the car and follow the connections and take a look at the cables. Might be a bad connector or a strip cable, hopefully will be something simple. Good luck...

If you had the issue before then I would think it is most likely your MF switch. I think the rain is a red herring.

Your headlight control module up front by the passenger side headlight. That gets wet and could cause interment malfunctions. I had to replace mine a few years ago.

The module would not prevent the lights from turning on. It would affect just the opening.
