C5 Coupe Traction/Active Handling Issues
I recently had the traction light pop on, and after running through the DIC, I came up with these codes:
DTC C1282 Yaw Rate Sensor Bias Circuit Malfunction
DTC C1284 Lateral Accelerometer Sensor Self Test Malfunction
DTC C1285 Lateral Accelerometer Sensor Circuit Malfunction
DTC C1287 Steering Sensor Rate Malfunction
DTC B1542 Oil Temperature Circuit Short to Ground
It reads on the DIC:
SERVICE ENGINE, SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING, OIL TEMPERATURE HIGH, LOW OIL. REDUCE ENGINE POWER, REDUCE ENGINE RPM
The traction light is the only light on, so I'm hoping the EBCM isn't faulty (no ABS light).
Could a ground be shorted and cause the yaw sensor, accelerometer, and SWPS issues? I figured the oil temp is definitely an issue with a ground as well, but probably separate from the traction issues. I also thought maybe the SWPS is out, and because it shares common circuitry with the other sensors; maybe that is the issue?
I just don't want to start throwing sensors at the car, without it even being a problem with the sensors themselves.
Anyone want to chime in and let me know what you think??
