Default Air cleaner cover

Will this fit onto my stock '00 air cleaner?

I also looked at this - but it appears to have a smaller "notch"

I'm thinking either one will work but I'm not positive, I just have my air filter zip tied in with no cover

As far as I can see in that picture the 2nd one is not from a Z06. The Z has the larger opening.
I'm guessing as to if the cover will fit your box. Just do a search here however for a complete used Z housing with cover maybe?
This for example; maybe the Z unit is available...

You know the zip-tie solution sounds intriguing. Can water get past an oiled K&N?

I've heard most have had good results with a K&N as far as water is concerned

Yes, that first one will fit in the stock LS1 air breather and offers a little better air flow than the stock coupe/vert one.
