Cleared over machined is not chrome. I stated raw materials are used, but not the entire wheel. There are no chrome wheels on ferarris outside of old Borrannis.
Chrome can look 'period correct'; do not mistake that for "IN". Car shows? Go find a riddler car on chrome wheels.

I said
Polished, natural metal and chrome will always be in style.
There is no "period" for these.
Find a Riddler with painted wheels.
Most all riddler cars have some sort of painted wheels. As I said before, the raw materials are used to accent. Sure some have full polished billet wheels; but it's fitting a style on an OLD car.
Yes. That c7 looks tacky on chrome. Racecars don't get chrome wheels.

99% of Riddler cars have polished wheels, not painted. A lot of racecars do have chrome, natural metal or polished wheels.
That C7 may look tacky to you but not to most folks. You are in the minority.
That is unless you judge style by old men in floral print shirts, a logo embroidered sun visor, planted in a folding canvas chair with crossed flags on the back sitting behind his car takling about his tail lamp louvers...
Look at what is hot being produced by the OEMs, what it at the upper echelon of modern performance cars.
It's not chrome. It's not raw material and bright work.
Now, that comment fits very well if you are on a ricer forum, with a bunch of kiddies who paint their wheels black because they think it makes them unique, or mysterious.
To say that something is out of style, whether it be chrome, painted, or machined, is nuts. Having a specialty car is all about showing off the "style" you like, not what someone else thinks is cool, or bad, or sick. If you like it, it is right for you.
Seems like every forum I read, whether on guns, cars, boats...someone is always dissin' what someone else likes...really stupid.
Love the discussion!! Unless u have big bucks to put HRE's or something of that quality, chrome factory wheels always look the best! I sold my silver ones today for more than I paid for these chrome ones!! Makes total upgrade from wagon wheels to these with tires $85.
Can't beat that!
Chrome, natural metal and polished metal have been in style for 60 years and will never go out of style. They make any car look it's best.
Chrome/Polished are timeless, painted for a specific custom application also works but the expense of the later is probable out of reach for most of us as. Custom painted is usually applied to high end 3 piece wheels from what I have seen.
