Anyone know any tricks or products that will safely remove white wax residue from black fabric top edges (01 convertible) . Been on a while from previous owner. Thanks for any advice!
You might try a heat gun.
Keep it on low heat, and don't allow the gun to get any closer than eight or so inches from the top and don't "stay" in one spot, move the gun across the area where the wax is.
You may have to use a black substance to simply mask the residue. Anything from a sharpie pen to shoe polish..just a crazy thought if it were mine and nothing else was working.
Here's a thought. I think I'd try Palmolive dish soap (diluted with water of course) with a soft brush and rinse with a hose. I know it strips wax off painted surfaces real good.
