Default couple things that need to get made!!

i would love to see the carbon fiber intake cover get made again for our c5's and yes i know there is a hydro carbon cover, but i am not to crazy about that just yet. second would love to see Z06 rear brake vents made out of carbon fiber even if the inside is fiber glass and outside is carbon fiber...anyone else agree?

If you're a fan of the carbon fiber look, then yes, it would be nice to have those parts made in CF.

Dennis a t Double D Mods could help you out on your rear brake vents. He can get them covered in real carbon fiber.

Is this what you you mean by an intake cover. If so then RK sports still makes this one. 100% Carbon fiber. This one was color matched to the car with the carbon fiber left exposed in the center.

Hmmmm. I much prefer less covers and more engine. But, I love mods and everyone has their own preference. Cover away my brother ! I hope you find your part quickly - post pics !

Same, my red zed covers are sitting in my shop. And I find carbon fiber not really all that exciting, but I get why people like it.

^^^^^

I have something similar to this and I quit running it because I felt that it was not letting enough heat get away from the engine.

Actually it has no effect on that. It does not function as a "hood" that encloses the entire engine compartment - it is really just a "baffle" which has virtually no effect on temperature - the engine itself is the heat-generator. If you were to take a temperature reading above and below the cover with the engine running and the hood closed, they would be almost the same since the air cannot be contained underneath the cover. Of course once the car is moving or the hood is opened the temps would quickly stabilize.

Think of it like placing a cookie sheet on the center rack of an oven - the cookie sheet will not make the lower portion of the oven any hotter than it would be otherwise. Hot air will always move toward cooler air regardless of direction if there is no flow.
