I am going to replace my right rear wheel hub, and while I am at it I am going to go ahead and replace the stabilizer bar, bushings, clamps and links. I am going to order from Cultrag Performance, I see a lot of other members have done the same. I have a 2000 MN6 vert, and the more I look the more unsure I am of what I need to order. I see some members have gone with the C6 bar and links. I like the idea of that, I am just not sure what exactly I need to order. If I am going to do it, I would like to replace all the components. Is the C6 a direct replacement or am I going to have to do some retrofitting? Can I get some guidance. I was looking at the C5 bars and links, they offer with and w/o sport. Not real sure what that means. I am not one to do any track time, but I do like a little spirited driving from time to time. Thanks in advance.
The C6 sway bars are a direct replacement and a great upgrade. I did it to a couple of '99 Z51 cars and loved it.
The parts you need are the sway bars, bushings, and end links from a C6. I chose the C6 Z51 bars. If you are not running a large (over 325) rear tire, some people say you get an oversteer condition with the C6 Z06 sway bars, so I would stay with the C6 Z51 setup.
In or about the year 2001 GM upgraded to the metal end links from plastic. If you have the plastic end links it is a must do for the replacement. It is possible you have the plastic since it is a 2000. Just look underneath, you'll see. The plastic end links are black, metal are silver looking.
If you have metal end links and they aren't making any noise then you don't need to replace them.
