Kooks 1 7/8 install help.

Kooks 1 7/8 install help.
Can't seem to get the headers up through to the head. It's barely catching on the sub frame. I've tried raising the trans with a jack. I'm about to loosen. The motor mount and raise that. Please help!

My driver side goes in and out without problem. Had to loosen motor mount for passenger side. Can't remember if I took starter off, but it did come out. You can drop the cradle about 1/2" if it looks like that would help.

I recently installed 1 7/8 kooks and just had to remove the nut on the top of the motor mount on either side I was working on, raise the engine and the header slid right in. Passenger side you have to remove the starter. This was installing the latest version. I was surprised it was as easy as I was.

I recently installed 1 7/8 kooks and just had to remove the nut on the top of the motor mount on either side I was working on, raise the engine and the header slid right in. I removed the 3 nuts on the side of the engine holding it to the mount and lifted the engine several different ways and I had no luck going in from the bottom. I have c5 targa. Not sure what style kooks I have. I believe they are fairly new as the are basically brand new....

Wish I was there to help. I did the Kook's 1 7/8 and only removed the spark plugs and coil packs on both sides. Nothing else. Passenger side was a breeze, only the AC lines to contend with. Drivers side the clutch lines etc. Did the whole install with cat less mid pipe in a little over 4 hours. Did have to modify the dip stick tube some but no big deal.
