Has anybody used a company called circuit solutions or Module Master off Ebay to rebuild an ecbm for a 98 Vette. I just want to find out if it's a rip off or poor workmanship before I ship my module to them to rebuild.
any answers would be appreciated. I haven't looked to see if it's in the front or back yet.
As others mentioned, be very careful sending that module to any company that claims they can repair or rebuild it. I've heard stories on here of people sending them out for repairs as they were "guaranteed" to be able to fix it, and then of course it turned out they weren't able to fix it and didn't get a refund. Good luck with the repair, you may need to simply bite the bullet and buy a used one (as bad as it sounds) as that's all thats left at this point.
Reach out to ABS Fixer for confirmation. He fixed mine (2003) and did an outstanding (fast) job. He's pretty honest too, so he should be able to tell you if it's something that can be fixed or not.
If it is a relay issue and you have the skills of a surgeon and the patience of Job to remove the tar like sealant from around it to replace it you might be OK. They stopped using that sealant material in 2000 as can be seen here.
