So I recently purchased a 2003 Corvette which was advertised as a 50th Anniversary model. I ended up buying it but am not so sure it's really a 50th anniversary edition. From my understanding, all 50th anniversary models were that deep burgundy red with 50th anniversary logo on the front and rear badges, owners manual, owners manual cover, and headrests. My Vette has all that but exterior color is black and no logo on the headrests. The interior is two tone red and black which he says proves it but I've never seen a 50th anniversary with red and black interior.
How can I tell if I really have a 50th anniversary Corvette?
Since 2003 was the 50th anniversary of the Corvette, all of the cars produced in that year are a "50th Anniversary Model".
The "50th Anniversary Edition" was only produced in "Anniversary Red" with shale interior, Champagne colored wheels , 50th Anniversary badging and logo on the headrests.
Adding to that, all 2003 cars got 50th anniversary badging on the outside front and rear and on the gauges. They're often advertised as "special 50th Anniversary", when all cars in 2003 had the same badging.
So to summarize what was posted above, ALL 2003 cars were 50 anniversary cars, that's why they had the badges. However, only cars like the one stu12dozen posted about had the 50th anniversary package.
If your car is blk, it does not have the 50th anniversary package.
The 50th Anniversary EDITION was a $5000 option package that included the before mentioned color option and also included F55 MSRC and other options as part of the package.

Based on what you said (especially the color of the car), you do not have the 50th anniversary edition package on your car. All 2003s had the front/rear emblems and the owner's manual logos like yours does as well as a 50th logo on the instrument cluster.

I definitely don't have it on the instrument cluster but then again it's a Z06 so it has the Z06 instrument cluster.
I have a 2004 50th anniversary, LeMans blue. Is it really 51th anniversary?
Don't think that's possible. The 50 Anniversary was 2003 only. My 2004 Commemorative Edition coupe doesn't have any 50th markings or emblems. They're all the 24 hour @ Le Mans CE emblems.

i believe what you have is (like my 04) one of the commemorative edition 2004 corvettes. they were produced in somewhat limited quantity as a tribute to the corvette racing groups lemans victories in 2003. the coupes and the convertibles were the only ones available with lemans blue exterior and shale interior (the convertible had a matching shale colored top) and the Z06 commemorative edition had lemans blue exterior with a black interior. if you have a commemorative edition, it is designated with stitching on the sport seats, commemorative badging on the hood and trunk and on the waterfall for the convertible. if memory serves me, there were a bit over 2000 convertibles, a bit over 2000 coupes and around 1800 Z06 in that trim. so yes they are a "special edition" not the 51st anniversary, lol. they came out of the factory with virtually every option available for 2004 except body side moldings, engine heater and perhaps one or two other minor ones.
Yeah Bro, that 51st Anniversary Edition in LeMans Blue was the end result of what Bowling Green decided to do with the 4,800 leftover 2003 1SC packge Shale Interiors.
Come on Dudes, this badge is like not all that confusing to understand what you got

How can I tell if I really have a 50th anniversary Corvette?
If it is a 2003, then yes it is a Fiftieth Anniversary Corvette. All 2003's were. Should have 50th badges and also a special key chain saying 50th anniversary. Owner's manual cover should have the fiftieth emblems as well.
Is it an 50th Anniversary Special Edition, is a totally different question.
Easy to tell by the color and interior. The link below will give you the full intel.
Yep, I hate it when I see an 03 for sale advertised as a 50th anniversary edition, and it is black, torch red, etc. I know it's probably an honest mistake, most of the time, but being a corvette owner, I feel for the new corvette owner buying something not quite what it really is.

They also had the 50th logo on the ignition key. Mine's pretty worn off by now but you can still see it if you squint.
