Imagine there was a law written as such; A yellow Corvette belonging to a patriotic American shall not be impounded.

Did the law give that yellow Corvette to that patriotic American? Where's the verb which means give, gift, grant or any other similar action? Or, is the operative phrase here "shall not be impounded"?

What is the law saying there if not an imperative command?

People in many areas carry a rifle or shotgun in the back of their truck for a variety of reasons. If dude wants to carry it in the back of his Z06 more power to him.

LOL, epic fail of the CF. The C5Z06 section is NOT the place to start a 2A argument.

If you lived in CA where all gun rights are being eroded, you'd appreciate people like this who actually get to exercise their 2A rights. Would I want an AR gun rack in my Z? No, but I'd like the option without being thrown in prison if I wanted one.

As more idiots in this country continue to feverishly attack such rights, you'll simply (and naturally) see more extreme examples of those exercising them.

I'd likely trust this guy more than I'd trust a gun hating liberal, that's for sure.

Service members protect all walks of people, rednecks and cowards alike, and they use a rifle that looks a lot like that. Maybe I'm just a jaded old jarhead who has carted around an M16 too much, but I see that squirrel gun as inanimate an object as an empty Mountain Dew bottle.

He may live in an area where he doesn't have to worry about aholes stealing his stuff, or he might just take it out of the car when he's not in it. Either way, it's his call.

If the choice of those two establishments was truly a random selection, then no worries - no offense intended.

But given the way this thread started out - with the editor implying a gun rack in a Corvette was a "redneck" thing, using the pejorative " 'Murica ", etc etc - and the similar stereotypes about Walmart and Golden Corral, it's easy to see how the association could be made.
