Wife decided since we have 2 kids, and Vette's are 2 seaters......you see where this is going.
Not. I just got my car back after 4 1/2 years being owned by a buyer who turned into a friend. She always liked Vette's, and as such, with us having 2 kids......two 2 seaters makes sense for those "car" days. I'm paying off the note I took out on my car within the next 4 weeks probably (did it just to close the deal). So no car payment.
She wants a Maroon (read magentic red) six speed, black interior C5. Girl's got taste. Now the only question is do I or don't I?
The answer is obvious, my friend. Go for it! We all know the secret to a happy marriage starts with a happy wife, and yours has exquisite taste in vehicles. Win-win I'd say.
It's more of a "do I want to take a note on a car that I can't pay off in 2-4 months" type of thing more than anything. I busted my butt at work and made some pretty sacrificial changes to come up with the $$$ to essentially buy mine back outright, but the changes I made (sold a couple of other toy cars, etc) aren't there for another so it would be a normal loan situation if we did it. Just a decision I've got to make. We've been debt free for over a year now and it's been simply wonderful.
She'll probably get one, I'm already keeping an eye out. She always liked driving mine before I sold it a few years ago, and I never minded.
Now let's see if she goes for a vert which I'd like to see........
So........... Don't just buy her a car... let her think there is no way in HELL your buying her and car. Then surprise her for your Anniversary with the keys to HER vette.... you'll be set for life... ask me how I know.
Miss B with her NEW to her 25th anniversary car for her 25th anniversary present at Bloomington... it Benchmarked!
