Looks like another one has bit the dust. The guy was trying to outrun the police, he lost control, car crossed the median and hit several other cars. Needless to say, driver and the car didn't make it
I get the impression that most cops can't drive to save their lives, nor the peoples' they protect. It's just too bad the dumbasses that run from them can't either. C'mon, it's a Corvette vs what? A POS fwd Impala? This guy deserved what he got, he could have been smooth and gotten away but instead panicked and became a danger to everyone including himself. Hopefully the innocents are taken care of and unhurt.

Unless the road is straight, no traffic and the idiot driving is lucky, he usually has little chance of getting away safely without hurting himself or others. You are wrong about most officers. They #1 usually know how to drive a lot better than the average driver! Most department train officers how to pursue and they know the limits of their patrol car a lot better than who they are chasing. #2, they know where they are and where they are going, they know the roads, the turns, the area a lot better period! I will take a POS impala I drive 12 hours a day every day and out drive most people in any car if I have the advantage of knowing my car and the roads I'm on any day. See I retired after 25 years in law enforcement and when I worked the road as a patrol officer, I knew my car, it's capabilities and the area like the back of my hand! Also, the person running, has the first chance to make a mistake, the officer can react to that first mistake and that's why most car chases end with the suspect crashing, not the officer "most of the time"!
He killed a 34 year old woman and their 1 year old child. He was running from the police on the arrest warrant.
He killed two more people in the accident, a 65 & 66 year old brother and sister heading to the beach. He went through the median at 100+; went airborne, and came down on another vehicle, head-on. Friends saw the accident; and it's on dash cam video; although that's not public. All of this took place on Friday afternoon outside of Richmond, VA on a major throughfare up and down the east coast (I-295) which bypasses Richmond, and takes people to the beach. It was a horrific week and day here in Richmond.
