Default Need help 98' C5
okay so I have a whining noise being made when ever I accelerate. I took a look at it and noticed my belt is covered with rubber, so I probably need to replace my belt. But will that fix it? Also there was some grease on the back of the belt from an unknown place. Any ideas on where it could be leaking from? And how do I change that belt?

You probably have a pully stuck/froze.. AC, alternator, idler, etc making the whining noise and chewing up your belt
