Default Z06 front screens

I was replacing the front turn signal lenses in my car and while poking around push pullin on things to ensure all was good up there in the front of the car one of the Z06 screens come out.

It was held in there with double sided tape. Is that a OEM install? Or how are they held in from the factory.

Car is a 99FRC, so they were put in by previous owner

The oem screens have screws on the backside that hold them in. I have the aftermarkets and they are held in with double sided tape. Oem screens cost 5 times as much.

That's the wy to go for aftermarket, tryin to get the other one out now nd its tight as all get out.

Can't figure out how to get it loose without out messin up the paint. I freakin can't stand double sided tape. When I bought this car there was a rear spoiler attached with it as well. What pita it was to get off.

Just my opinion, but attaching stuff on a vette with double sided tape is LAME!!!!!!

Did the same thing. Makes it much easier to get them out.

The velcro has adhesive on the outside. So you stick one side of the velcro to the mesh inserts and the other to the inside of the fog light openings. You then slide the mesh inserts in and they are held by the velcro. To make it easier to insert, I used a manila folder as a barrier on the top and bottom of the mesh insert to prevent the velcro from touching. Once I had the inserts in place, I pulled out the folders and the velcro then holds mesh inserts in place.
