Changef the rear hatch moldings they were fading and the adhesive was wearing off . Here's what I used if you ever want to tackle this . I used the heat gun to remove the moldings and most of the adhesive . The goo remover I bought at auto zone worked realy good on the rest of the adhesive . I then hit the spray wax on all the parts the goo remover came in contact with then just patiently applied the new molding .
Enjoy your first Corvette. When I got my first vette the seller told me once you have a corvette you will always want one. That wes a 59. Then I got a 64 when I got back from Nam, Then a 73 and now a 02. It gets in your blood. And you will love it.
Thank you for the interest. The L5 front fenders should be on towards the end of the month then the LS6 intake. I do have lots more on the agenda but that will come later I have my other projects that need some loving .
Wide fenders are on and getting primered. The fit is decent. The flares are very subtle compare to the back . I feel one inch woyld of been perfect as opposed to 3/4. The car is black so they won't stand out in pics but should be done this week .
Possibly my last exterior mod ,maybe am ACP hood or wheel change up further down . The L5 fenders look great granted the don't slap you in the face like the rears but I knew that and don't feel the front deserve much more anyway. i didn't want t be complete bkack everywhere at first and added clear signals up front but the tinted ones just look much meaner with my set up.
Stay tuned my car is far from done, are they really ever anyways ?lol
GM did it with the 57 Chevy and the 69 Camaro 70 Big block Chevelle GTO to name a few and now the old C-5 Corvette ,cheap to buy and make great HOT RODS .. I love my 04 Z not a new C-7 but one heck of a fun ride for the money .. Cool ride..
I really not a big fan of the black wheels on most rides but look right on your super nice ride .. These old C-5 are fun to work with .. So sad I have friend with newer Corvettes and all I here from them is well I can't do anything to my ride ( its the Warranty you know ) I have a warranty on my 04 $5000.00 worth tools and knowing how to work on it LOL...
Thanks guys it's been2 year already and there's no turning back now . Once spring comes I'll get the car back on the road and take some more pics for you . BTW more mods to come .
