Default Should There Be A Bolt Here?

Was under my 2004 ZO6 today changing oil, when I noticed this.
Rear vertical part of oil pan on passenger side....2 bolt holes....but only 1 bolt. Not really sure if it was always like that from factory, or when I had gasket replaced tech forgot to install bolt. Should there be a bolt in that bottom hole?

I would say yes.

It is threaded and there is a mark where a bolt head was. I would say yes - there was a bolt there.

Thanks. Would you happen to know what size bolt?

It's almost certainly the same specs as the one right above it. Pull out the top bolt, verify that it fits the bottom hole, then bring it to your local hardware store to find another.

...and I would reinstall both bolts with blue Loctite this time.

Me too... I came here expecting a thread along the lines of putting an Opel badge on a Corvette or something
