Default Heat socks for Plug wires

I am looking to add headers to my C5 Corvette late this summer or early fall. I am looking to secure heat socks large enough to cover the wire and metal heat shields currently on my car. Any recommendations would be most appreciated.

Amazon, AutoZone, Jegs, Koolmat-koolsox @ pitstopusa.com, available everywhere, check our vendors. It's worth spending the money to save your wires and preventing heat damage.

I have had several sets of socks over the years. I would ditch
the metal heat shields.
ALL you have to do is pick a cool color.

Thanks for the feedback. When I bought the car a year ago, the previous owner did not place a metal heat shield on one of the wires and it cooked. I put on a new set and new plugs and I bought one shield to replace the missing one. When I install the headers, I don't wan't any unnecessary complications. I guess I'm a little paranoid, that's why I want shields and socks.

I installed long tubes on my Z06 about 3 months ago. Had everything ceramic coated from front to back, and replaced the stock wires with MSD high performance 8.5mm wires. Car runs slightly cooler than it did bone stock, and the red wires look great. Just something to think about.

I'll second the MSD wires. You can bend them so they are no where near your long tubes. On the flip side my dad got some eBay socks for his car and they do what they're supposed to
