HELP NEEDED '98 C5 Won't Start Multiple codes
PCM P0604 C H = PCM RAM Performance
PCM P1518 C H = Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Serial Data Circuit
TCS = 5 Codes
didn't pull them all or write them down because I was thinking the PCM was on the fritz. It was dark out and my ride needed to leave.
And SDM = No comm
On my way to the dinner the car felt like it cut power once in first gear that made my neck snap a little. I thought it was strange but nothing else happened so I pressed on. I'm still researching but wanted to throw this out first to see what I could get. So what do the experts think it could be? This car has always been reliable and never stranded me like this so this completely out of the blue.
My hunches are:
1. Throttle position sensor
2. Data cable linking the PCM to the rest of the car
3. PCM itself is dead
Would appreciate any help or experience any of you may have with this! Thanks!
Measure the voltage AT the battery and see what it is. Needs to be at lest 12.5 or higher before cranking.
After that you may want to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if you can reboot the electronics.
C1255 H = ECU Malfunction
C1276 H C = Delivered Torque Signal CKT Malfunction
C1278 H = TCS Temporarily Inhibited By PCM
U1255 H = ???
BCM
U1016 = Normal software function, history status upon ignition cycling
Left and Right Doors both
U1064 = Normal software function, history status upon ignition cycling
I have a tow truck scheduled to pick it up tomorrow morning, but would still like to know what happened. PCM finally kicked the bucket, maybe?
