Was caught in a major rain storm today and the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires were incredible it was like driving on a dry road I was very impressed !!!!!!!
have been telling people this for awhile. as long as it's not really cold. those tires flat move in the rain. you can carry some pretty serious speed in cornering / trailbreaking in a downpour

I've had these tires almost 4 years and 14k miles (265/35/18; 305/30/19) and they show virtually no wear, are quiet, and provide a great ride. I really like them.
I just bought 4 of the Michelin SS's hope I have the luck you've had. The reviews have been very good.

They were on mine when I bought it - they were noisy and had dry rot on the shoulders. Does anyone else have them and not put a lot of miles on them?
don't even see how that's possible. the pss wasn't even released until roughly 2011 when they started trickling out.
they have been unavailable in oem sizes and only work on aftermarket wheels unless someone runs z06 square
if you're confused like many posters on here and have a ps2 or as3 or any of the other models i'll cut right to it. old tires suck period
if you have a car you don't drive much budget in something you can replace every 4 years and look for max performance. the hankook rs3 in 285.255 has been a common go-to for the OE z06 wheels if you're after a fast dry tire with a fairly short life
the pss is amazing which is why we all like it, but, no tire is going to work well when it's past 4 years old, they just get worse and worse starting at year 2
I've only had mine for a few weeks but I can tell you these things are leaps and bounds better than my BFG KDW's and Pirelli Rosso's, even in the dry. Wet weather handling and grip(the reason I bought these) is second to none and I would highly suggest these for anyone.
Just put my Michelin SS's on yesterday. Like night and day the difference between the Goodyear EMT's. These SS's are a great great tire.

Michelin makes the best street tire on the planet imo
I first discovered that when I put them on (at that time) a 2000 full size GMC truck ///// WOW !!!! Then I bought my present truck 2003 GMC Sierra on put them on right away ////// So smooth and quiet have 20,000 and show no wear !!!!!!!! (of course they are 70,000 mi tires)

pretty much. all the really good competitors like toyo & yokohama sometimes make tires that do one thing better but they never seem to be able to directly compete. those two brands have gotten close before though
from what i understand michelin also makes one of the longest lasting and fastest race slicks too

The improvement in ride was outstanding! Wet weather traction is excellent!
