I'm with you Pete.... I have maybe 5K mi on my build... Going on 2 yrs...
added the AR 1 7/8 yesterday... Gonna throw her on the dyno tomorrow morning... It was 100+ degrees here in TX today... Not a good day to dyno.... Proly won't b good tomorrow either.. But, once the cool weather comes, look out!

get into another one. actual race cars can be cheaper than modding street cars and or dirtbikes, jet skis or even mountain bikes

ls3 427 in C5
My engine went out also. I'm planning on dropping in a LS3 427. What are the pros & cons of ls3 427 vs ls7 427?

I may be wrong but I'd think buying a LS3 and turning it into a 427 will cost you more than buying a used low mile LS7.

How is the average price for a used LS7? What changes are needed for the c5?

High mile long block around $5-6K
Average mile $6-8K
Low mile $8-10K
A few adapters and harnesses that add up to another $1K or so.
I had to go with a different style air intake and upgrade headers from 1.75" to 1.875".

Good luck with it! I love the power my LS7 makes. But, naturally, I want more.
