Air injection system

Hi everyone, I have a Corvette 2001 c5. I want to install a hooker headers (just the headers, no pipes o something else), but I got a question. These headers do not have a piece to connect the air tube, as the stock ones do; I have been reading that the only thing that I have to do is just take off the micro relay 33. Do you think guys that will be ok? I am in Illinois, I do not know if my vette needs that air system to pass the emission test.

You should still get a CEL and throw codes. You can have those tuned out. Then it should pass any emissions test.

If your state has a visual you might fail by deleting the AIR system. Otherwise you'll be fine, as it only runs on cold start (they won't be testing at your house).

Thank you, I'm going to install them then I should find a nice shop to tune my car. I'll let you know

Hi, I'm at Illinois, I have taken my other car (Dodge Caravan) to the emission test facility, maybe twice or three times, they just have used the machine with the hood closed. I think my Vette is going to be ok.

HEADERS instated already

I installed the headers already, my car is running ok, without any cel or coded, but I got a question. How long do I have to take my car to get tuned? By the way it is running very good
