My sun visors in my 2001 Corvette have the floppy ears. I have seen fixes using zip ties, but that seems kind of **** rigged. The covers I have seen look good in some photos, not very well fitted and cheap looking in others, so I am not sure I want to go in that direction.
Who sells the replacement visors (not OEM), and how do they compare to the OEM?

Marc at VetteNuts sold replacement sunvisors at one time - not sure if he still has them. Best to just call him and ask. From the pics at least, the ones he sold looked identical to the OEM ones.
I would like to order the visors, but it shows out of stock. Still have a set?
Sold the last set yesterday. We should have some in the next 2-3 weeks.
Thanks,
Marc
UPDATE: 7-1-15 We just got 12 more sets on the way to us. Please go ahead and order to get in before there gone. We are expecting them in stock next week and we will send out tracking #'s as soon as they ship.

The cardboard in mine was falling apart and I have a Homelink in the drivers side one so replacing wasn't an option for me. I sent mine off to Dennis @ Double D Mods to have them recovered in leather.
Just because OEM are MORE expensive doesn't mean that $200 for a set of VISORS isn't crazy. But that's just my opinion. Maybe others think its a bargain. I just think its crazy.

I am not one of these guys that always kisses up to the vendors, theres enough members doing that already , but $99 isn't a bad price, seems pretty fair to me as long as they are good quality.
Go try a custom shop or try making them urself and see if you can beat it, I doubt it.

To get these into production alone is an expensive venture as we have some new ones coming online in September. The labor and materials to construct them is expensive along with having them shipped to us. Price point may drop $10 per side if all goes as planned.
We just got a call from our current manufacture and we have 12 more sets in transit. We will be putting them back in stock today but they will not ship until we receive them.
easy fix, cut the thread that keeps the two halves together, open it up and cover the inside cardboard with strapping tape. buy some synthetic thread in the sewing section at walmart and a needle and sew it back together.

I tried that with mine but the cardboard was breaking up and pretty much turning to powder almost as quick as I tried to apply the tape. Got fed up with it and that's why I sent mine in.

I guess I got the last set for now. Good to hear of more on the way. Shipping was incredibly fast and the visors look great. Thanks Marc.
